Concussion Program
At Capital Physiotherapy & Athletic Performance we take brain injuries very seriously. The human brain is a complex organ that is very susceptible to injury during sporting activities. We believe that the most important tool when it comes to concussions and young athletes is comprehensive education for the players, parents, and staff regarding concussions and protocols if one is suspected. We have found that Concussion Baseline tests can be useful if administered properly and used in conjunction with other concussion management strategies.
We have carefully designed a unique and comprehensive Concussion Management Program to take care of our young athletes from pre to post injury. A vital component of concussion management involves obtaining a comprehensive Baseline Test. In the event of injury, a Comprehensive Baseline can become an invaluable tool which can use by allied health professionals in order to help better diagnose and manage your child’s symptoms and recovery.
If you are an individual or an organization looking for strategies and tools to better help your athletes, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at info@capitalphysio.ca.
